Using
the Version Protection Feature
Follow these steps to recover an earlier version of a Microsoft Office
file:
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to the Microsoft Office file for which
you want to recover previous versions.
- Right-click the file. You will see a menu similar
to this:
- Select View Versions
and a listing of the earlier versions of the file is displayed similar
to this:
- Select a file and right-click it to see a menu
of the options available:
- From the menu displayed, you can choose from these
options:
- Recover the selected version of the file (and
save it to the location of your choice)
- Delete that version of the file
- Open that version of the file with the default
application for that file type
- Open the file with the application of your choice
Tip: You can
also access earlier versions of Microsoft Office files by right-clicking
on them in the Undelete Recovery Bin.
